Carl Götze (son)

This Carl Götze is the son of Carl Götze (1836-1887) and the grandson of Carl Götze (1814-1888). Curiously there is no biographical information available about him. But he was the oldest child of Carl Götze (1836-1887) and so he was born around 1855 in Weimar. Later his brother Franz Götze dedicated a bassoon piece to him and among his compositions is a work for bassoon and orchestra. So it is likely that Carl Götze was a bassoonist. A newspaper article from 1887 reports that he is a musician in Winterthur (Switzerland). The manuscript of his Romance is dated 1892 in Sondershausen. No further details are known.
