Frits Koeberg

Frits Koeberg was born on 15 July 1876 in Den Haag (Netherlands). He studied piano, composition and conducting at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag under Willem Nicolai and Henri Viotta, and later in Berlin under Xaver Scherwenka at the Klindworth-Scharwenka-Conservatory and at the Akademie der Künste. For many years Frits Koeberg worked as conductor and composer of the Leidsch student music society "Semper Crescendo" (1902-1931) and the Den Haag music society "Musica" (1911-1938). Since 1914 he also taught music theory at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag.
Frits Koeberg died on 9 November 1961 in Den Haag (Netherlands).

Frits Koeberg composed for all genres with several works for orchestra, an opera "Bloemenkind", an operetta "Viola", chamber music as well as songs and vocal music.

In my possession is an autograph manuscript of the "Pastorale for small orchestra and oboe obligato" (1899). My manuscript is dedicated to "P. Kruyswijk".
