Ocatve Lerichomme was born 1875. After his school he became a student of Jean-Pierre Rousselot at the College de France. After his studies Octave Lerichomme became a professor for singing and diction. Since 1923 he was a speaker at the radio station Radiola (later known as Radio Paris). He also published a book about diction and phonetics in 1934 titled "La diction radiophonique et la science phonetique". Octave Lerichomme died on 9 January 1955.
As a composer Octave Lerichomme left a small collection of songs, mostly composed between 1900 and 1920. Several of these songs were published by different Parisian publishing houses.
In my possession are two autograph manuscripts of songs for voice and piano by Octave Lerichomme.
The first song is titled "Roman d'Amour" and sets a poem by Gabriel Montoya and Maurice Heliot to music.
The second manuscript contains the "Emprise d'Amour". The poem is by Gabriel Montoya and the music by Octave Lerichomme and Federico Solano.
Both works were published privately by Octave Lerichomme in 1914.
