Vladimir Dyck: Symphony

Vladimir Dyck: Symphonie pour 10 instruments a vent op.36

This site presents my effect on the re-premiere of the "Symphonie pour 10 instruments a vent op.36" (1910) by Vladimir Dyck (1882-1943)

In 2020 I obtained the autograph manuscript of the Symphony for 10 wind instruments op.36 by Vladimir Dyck. I immediately typeset the manuscript into the computer and published the score via my website. In 2023 I was contacted by the bassoon professor Daryl Durran from the Penn State School of Music in the USA. He is member of the Stonebridge Winds, an ensemble that includes faculty members of the Penn State School of Music, and he was interested in performing the piece. Daryl Durran took the time to create parts from my original full score file and in the end this led to a performance of the Symphony for wind instruments op.36 by Vladimir Dyck on 4 June 2024 at the Grace Lutheran Church in State College (Pennsylvania, USA). The concert was a charity event: It included only music by Ukrainian composers and all donations went to an aid organisation that support the Ukraine.
