The story about the French ondist Tristan Foison has a special importance for me: First I discovered that he stole several compositions note-by-note from other composers (not only the Requiem by Desenclos). And if that wasn't enough among these stolen compositions is one by Jacques Chailley. And I am the preserver of the musical estate of this renowned French composer and therefore have a special interest that the theft by Tristan Foison will not be forgotten.
In the following pages I present a few interesting snippets from my research about the musical career of Tristan Foison:
Tristan Foison 1: a rising star
Tristan Foison 2: a remarkable CV
Tristan Foison 3: the Desenclos incident
Tristan Foison 4: the violin concerto
Tristan Foison 5: the "Foison technique"
