In my violin encyclopedia you cannot find any rating of the listed compositions. I find it arrogant to judge on compositions for other people. Different people in different situations value works differently, it's that evident.

But in all the years of researching I had to realise - tragically - that the powers of the usual stuff and the fear to face something new are stronger than the wish to discover the lesser known, but outstanding masterwork violin concertos!

Therefore I feel the responsibility to name the compositions which in my personal opinion deserve more attention! Violinists, Conductors, Music directors and music lovers, please get into these works and put them on stage, record them on CD or support them in any other way - its worth every effort!
