Lou Lichtveld: piano music

This site presents my effect on the recent performances of the piano music by Lou Lichtveld (1903-1996)

In 2023 I bought a large collection of autograph manuscripts by Lou Lichtveld from an Amsterdam auction house. The included works were all scored for piano or voice and piano and were a perfect addition to the autograph score of the oratorio "Cancio mistica" which I bought already back in 2019.

I typeset all the compositions by Lou Lichtveld and published them over the year. The Dutch pianist Roderigo Robles de Medina (see photo on the right) is an expert on piano music from Surinam and so was immediately interested in the pieces. So far he has performed the following works with my scores:

Arcadia: Performed on 26 November 2023 at the Huis de Pinto in Amsterdam.

Quatre morceaux romantiques: Performed on 29 June 2024 at the Lutheran Church in Nijmegen. Due to the fact that only 3 of the 4 romantic pieces are composed by Lou Lichtveld, I don't expect a previous performance of the work and so this might have been the world premiere.
